Visa Interview Questions
Are varied and can be quite probing. Take preparations for this event seriously because one wrong answer or to be more precise one answer that does not "match up" may send the process of obtaining a visa in the wrong direction.
It is best to be overly prepared and especially to come equipped with pictures. The best strategy when using pictures is to compile a small photo album (the .79c kind from Wal-Mart) with one or two pictures from every month you've been together and/or married. It is important to remember that the consular officers are there by law to look for any evidence of marriage fraud and are empowered to ask any questions they feel will uncover such fraud. With that said the questions are pretty straight forward.
My wife did find several message boards in Chinese posted mainly by women who had already gone through the K3/K1 interview.
Remember, to take your time when answering the questions. It's okay to say you don't understand the question and ask them to repeat it.
As of March 2004 the consular officers in Guangzhou are made up of American and Chinese personnel. There is no way to know which one you will be interviewed by until your number is called.
